Meereen

The largest and richest of the slaver cities.

Meereen is the largest of the three slaver cities of Slaver's Bay, with as many people as Astapor and Yunkai combined. Its slavers are known as the Great Masters, and it stands on the banks of the river Skahadhazan.

It is also the wealthiest, producing a metallic-tasting wine, copper from the surrounding lands and olives, until the slavers burned the trees to starve Daenerys's army. Its multicoloured brick skyline is dominated by the Great Pyramid and the gold-domed Temple of Graces.
