Background
Prudence Petitpas is a charming old lady who lives in the fictional village Moucheron. Much like Miss Marple, she investigates crimes that the police cannot solve. Her cat Stanislas is a constant companion, and she often receives aid from Cyprien, a police officer, and Jojo, a young boy who is a good friend and useful aid. Inspector Robur Duroc also appears as a police inspector. The series was created by Maurice Maréchal, who purposefully chose a senior character to stand out among other comics series that usually had younger protagonists.
