Ai o Torimodose!!

Covers and Usage in Media

"Ai o Torimodose!!" first appeared as bonus background music in the PlayStation 2 version of the multi-platform game Jissen PachiSlot Hisshohou! Hokuto no Ken, and also served as the opening theme for a 2005 arcade game from Sega-Sammy. Mixed martial artist and professional wrestler Josh Barnett adopted it as his entrance music for PRIDE Fighting Championships, and he still uses it for Japanese appearances and matches. Many artists have covered the track. Animetal included it on Animetal Marathon IV and Decade of Bravehearts. Hiromi Konno, as Akira Kogami, and Minoru Shiraishi, as himself, performed it under the name Uchoten for the Lucky Star OVA theme. Yoshisaki, performing as Crystal King, and Tanaka each released self-covers. Yoshisaki put out a 2004 single with a Lupin III theme on the B-side, followed by another 2004 single featuring remixes of "Ai o Torimodose!!" paired with "Yuria... Towa ni." In 2006, he released "Ai o Torimodose!! (Movie Ver.)" for the Legend of Raoh film, again with "Yuria... Towa ni" as the B-side. Tanaka's 2006 "Ai o Torimodose!! Special-Edition" included "Yuria... Towa ni" and "Tough Boy" by Tom. A heavy metal arrangement appears on the Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage soundtrack. The Alfee covered the song for the Hokuto no Ken 35th Anniversary Album, where it became the main theme for Fist of the North Star Legends Revive. Toshi performed a cover used as the ending theme for the 2026 anime adaptation of Fist of the North Star.
