Plot

After the death of his wealthy nobleman father, Mansoor squanders his inheritance and is abandoned by his friends, except for the loyal Daya. She suggests being sold at the slave market for an exorbitant price. The King's envoys interrupt the sale and bring Daya to court, where she passes a test of intelligence and is showered with gifts. The King allows her to live with Mansoor, but she is kidnapped by Ali Shah and Rashid, who run a slave-trading business. Mansoor, aided by his neighbor Amina, plans to rescue Daya from Ali Shah's kota, but arrives late. Daya mistakes someone else for Mansoor and is taken by a thief named Minnal jawan. To save herself, she masquerades as a man and travels to another kingdom whose king seeks a loyal minister. Disguised as a man, she passes difficult tests including archery, sword-fighting, and a chess match where she retracts a winning move to avoid hurting the king's feelings, settling for a draw. Impressed, the king appoints her minister. The king's daughter becomes infatuated with her, believing she is a man. Daya, as minister, takes revenge on those who ill-treated her, with Amina's help. She meets a repentant Mansoor and they decide to elope as the king plans her marriage to the princess. The king discovers the truth and intends to punish Daya for challenging men, but the people support her wisdom and request forgiveness. The king pardons Daya and reappoints her as minister. Daya and Mansoor marry.
