The title came in the revival that began when Wim Jansen took over as interim manager after a 6-0 defeat at PSV, with the 1991 KNVB Cup won 1-0 against BVV Den Bosch. It was followed by two more Dutch Cups, in 1994 against NEC and in 1995 against Volendam, both 2-1, and a 1994-95 Cup Winners' Cup run to the quarter-finals.
