Background
Five years after fleeing Los Angeles, Dominic Toretto and his crew, including Letty and Han Lue, are hijacking fuel tankers in the Dominican Republic. Dom leaves Letty to protect her from the police, and months later learns from his sister Mia that she has been murdered. Back in Los Angeles he traces nitromethane at the crash site to a buyer, David Park, who is also the lead of reinstated FBI agent Brian O'Conner in his hunt for the Mexican drug lord Arturo Braga, whose face is unknown to the public. Dom and Brian are forced to work together: Brian races a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from the impound lot and Dom his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS to win a place on the team that runs heroin across the Mexico-United States border for Braga.
