Reader's Guide
In Shadow of the Hegemon the Battle School graduates return to Earth in 2197 and Achilles de Flandres seizes Ender's jeesh as strategists for a coming struggle for world dominance. When Peter publishes, as Locke, that Achilles is a murderer, the graduates are released. With the help of Bean and Sister Carlotta, "Locke" is publicly nominated for the position of Hegemon, which lets Peter unmask himself. After Locke publishes an essay detailing the Chinese betrayal of India just as it happens, Peter Wiggin is elected Hegemon. Near the end of his life he asks Ender to write a book about him, The Hegemon.
