On April 11, 2026, the Oilers clinched their seventh consecutive playoff spot after the Winnipeg Jets lost to the Philadelphia Flyers. They faced the Anaheim Ducks in the first round, losing in six games, failing to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2023 and failing to make it past the first round for the first time since 2021. Kris Knoblauch was fired after the season.
