Ring of Erreth-Akbe

The broken ring whose lost rune once kept peace in Earthsea.

The Ring of Erreth-Akbe is a magical artifact, broken centuries before The Tombs of Atuan, inscribed with nine Runes of Power. Its breaking caused the Bond-Rune, needed for peace in Earthsea, to be forgotten.

Lore & Background

Ged unknowingly received one half during A Wizard of Earthsea, as a broken bracelet given to him by a woman on a small island. In The Tombs of Atuan he comes to the Tombs to retrieve the other half from their treasury.
