Whis

Whis is the Angel assistant and teacher of Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. He first appears in the God of Destruction Beerus Saga, a retelling of the film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013). Alongside Beerus, Whis threatens to destroy Earth if the warrior known as the Super Saiyan God loses to Beerus. After Goku becomes the Super Saiyan God and battles Beerus, his efforts appease Beerus, who spares the planet and befriends Goku, allowing him to train on Beerus' world.

Whis later trains Goku and Vegeta, helping them master the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, also known as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, which uses and controls God Ki. During the Golden Frieza Saga, after Frieza destroys Earth, Whis reverses time, allowing Goku to defeat Frieza. In the Universe Survival Saga, after the Tournament of Power, Whis permanently revives Frieza as a reward for helping in the tournament.
