Background

Luminosity's first CS:GO signing was AWPer ptr on April 30, 2015, but on July 29 it dropped that roster for a Brazilian team of FalleN, fer, steel, boltz and coldzera. The team reached the quarterfinals of DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, won MLG Columbus 2016 on April 3, 2016, and followed with DreamHack Austin over Tempo Storm and the ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals, 3-2 against G2 Esports. The roster left for SK Gaming on July 1, 2016, after finishing second to G2 at the ECS Season 1 Finals.

A second Brazilian lineup, the former WinOut team coached by apoka, was signed on July 30, 2016, and reshuffled that September; Luminosity dropped it on September 12, 2019. On July 1, 2026, the organisation returned to Counter-Strike with its first Counter-Strike 2 roster, signing all but one player from the European team Monte plus the Brazilian lux from Legacy.

Beyond Counter-Strike, Luminosity has signed Super Smash Bros. stars including MkLeo, Tweek and Marss, briefly ran a Rainbow Six Siege team, and won both 2025 splits of League of Legends' North American Challengers League without earning promotion.
