Background
Team LDLC placed fifth to eighth at the EMS One Katowice 2014 Major, then won the DreamHack Winter 2014 Major that November and the X Games Counter-Strike tournament in January 2015. On 2 February 2015 the whole roster left and was acquired by Team EnVyUs, and LDLC signed the former Awsomiac squad of madc, BouLy, HEdm, XpG and PetitSkel later that month, adding the Platinum Esports roster as LDLC Blue in March.
Shortly after playing for LDLC at ESL One Cologne 2014, KQLY received a Valve Anti-Cheat ban that permanently barred his account, and the timing led followers of the professional scene to speculate that cheats had shaped his tournament performance; he stated that he had never cheated at a LAN event. The team won ESWC 2017 at Paris Games Week, having also won in 2015.
The organisation also backed teams in Fortnite, League of Legends, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and the World Rally Championship game, where it signed the multiple champion Nexl. On 16 May 2023 it announced the end of the Olympique Lyonnais partnership and of all esports activity.
