Background

The organisation was founded in April 2017 in Celle as a coaching platform before relocating to Stuttgart, acquiring a League of Legends roster in 2018 and signing its first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on 29 March 2019, a lineup featuring the Belgian player ScreaM. Tekken player Tetsu followed in August 2021.

GamerLegion rosters have attended four Majors: the IEM Rio Major 2022, the Blast Paris Major 2023, the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. The high point was Paris 2023, where the team upset Heroic to reach the grand final against Team Vitality and finished second. Since then it has been a regular at Intel Extreme Masters and BLAST Premier events.

An Age of Empires II roster of former Team Secret players joined in September 2020; the organisation left that game by January 2026, with TheViper alleging unpaid salary and withheld winnings as the reason he did not renew.
