Reader's Guide
The miniseries is not the only adaptation. A manga version drawn by Yuuta Kumagai has been published in a magazine and had reached 3 volumes as of February of 2025. An edition in English published in 1999 was also the principal source for a long poem in several voices, Heavy Water, which won a poetry prize and later became the basis of a documentary film.
