Sakura Becomes Master of Cards
Yue's Final Judgment and Sakura's rise to master of the cards.
Sakura Kinomoto becomes master of the Clow Cards at the end of the first half of Cardcaptor Sakura. Once she has captured every card, Yue, the cards' second guardian and the true form of Yukito Tsukishiro, tests whether she is worthy of being their true master.

Background
Sakura is unable to defeat Yue at first out of fear of hurting him. Her teacher Kaho Mizuki uses the bell left at her family's shrine to give Sakura another chance; the bell changes Sakura's staff into a new one containing her own power of the stars, and with it she is able to use the cards to beat Yue and pass the test. Having fulfilled her role, Kaho returns to England. In the anime, Syaoran Li also captures several cards himself and is tested by Yue in the Final Judgment. Afterwards Eriol Hiiragizawa arrives from England and causes disturbances that force Sakura to convert the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards; once all are converted he explains that he did it so the cards would not lose their magic.
