Production

After WildBrain bought the Strawberry Shortcake brand in 2017, development on this series began that June. It first aired on YouTube on September 18, 2021, with a second season following on June 25, 2022, and a third on July 15, 2023. Daniel Ingram composed the background music, while Trevor Hoffmann wrote the songs. Kozmic Sound and Supersonics Post Production handled voice casting and production, with Adrienne Lindsay as voice director. Ana Sani was cast as Strawberry Shortcake. Voice work was recorded in Vancouver after writing but before animation, with songs recorded alongside the dialogue.
