Summary
The pilot episode aired on KEWLopolis on CBS on August 15, 2009, and the series premiered on Cookie Jar TV on CBS on September 19, 2009. The first 'o' in the title is edited to resemble Noonbory's face, indicating he is the leader of the Super Bory pack. A narrator enhances the educational aspect, teaching basic science, teamwork, social skills, and memory. The seven superheroes are based on the five physical senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, hear) and two mental senses (nonsense and common sense).
Noonbory possesses common sense. The setting is the Technicolor world of Toobalooba, comprising the four seasons. Heroes have the suffix -bory, villains have -gury. The word 'everybody' is replaced with 'everybory' or 'everybory and everygury'.
Villains include Wangury and his Bullygury pirates (Mungury and Taegury), Rosygury, and Coldygury. Other characters include Beebees, Bakerbory, Doctorbory, Farmerbory, Babysitterbory, and singing flowers. The series finale aired December 12–13, 2009, with Christmas episodes 'Kiki's Gift' and 'Santa's Cave'.
Show concepts
The show presents a black-and-white morality: a neutral group called datori's are neither Bory nor Gury, mixing lawful good and occasional mischief. Characters with the suffix 'Bory' are heroes; those with 'Gury' are villains. A Bory cannot become a Gury by a heinous deed, nor a Gury become a Bory by an admirable one. Borys and Gurys can co-exist when needed.
Doctorbory ordered Coldygury to rest when infected with Singeritis, a disease that spread to Lukybory, Wangury, and Cozybory before being contained. Ghostygurys once helped Noonbory and friends defeat Wangury's plans. Rosygury pretended to be a Bory in distress to enlist Kikibory's help in stealing valuables. Wangury never seeks help from any Bory, wanting to conquer Toobalooba, and makes temporary enemies of other Gurys when they are nice to Borys.
He once stole Coldygury's sled, causing Coldygury to attack the Borys before Wangury was revealed as the culprit. Mamby is the only Bory who cannot speak but can whistle and transform into anything, such as a parachute, and can stretch its body. Totobory's taste ability lets him taste things without consuming them. Jetybory can hear from far away.
Lunabory can see farther than anyone. Lukybory has nonsense sense and a younger sister Kikibory with a supersonic scream. Noonbory uses common sense to decide the most logical next step and is the only Bory with an older relative seen in the show.
