George Pesut
Canadian former NHL and WHA player for the California Golden Seals.

George Matthew Pesut, a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, suited up for 92 National Hockey League games across two seasons with the California Golden Seals. He also played 17 games in the World Hockey Association for the Calgary Cowboys in 1976–77. The bulk of his playing time came in the minor leagues and Europe.
Professional career
Pesut was selected early in the second round, 24th overall, of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft by the St. Louis Blues, and at the same draft position by the WHA's Cleveland Crusaders. He chose to begin his professional career with the Blues.
After attending St. Louis's training camp in 1973, he was assigned to the Denver Spurs of the Western Hockey League. He played only seven games before being traded in November 1973 to the Philadelphia Flyers for Bob Stumpf. In his first full NHL season in 1975 with the California Golden Seals, he recorded 13 points in 47 games.
