The Masked Dancer, a British reality dance competition, first aired on ITV on 29 May 2021. Inspired by The King of Mask Singer, it was renewed for a second series in December 2021, airing in autumn 2022. ITV cancelled the show in March 2024.

Production
ITV announced on 4 March 2021 that it was producing a local version of the American television dancing competition The Masked Dancer, following the success of its sister show The Masked Singer. The series was produced by Bandicoot, part of the Argonon Group, which also produced The Masked Singer. It was commissioned as a replacement in the spring schedule for Britain's Got Talent, whose fifteenth series was postponed to 2022 due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns. The first series premiered on 29 May 2021 with 12 contestants across seven episodes broadcast over eight nights. A second series of eight episodes premiered on 3 September 2022 and aired weekly.
Cast
The panel for the first series consisted of Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, and Oti Mabuse, with Joel Dommett as host. Guest panellists in the first series included David Walliams in the fifth episode, John Bishop in the sixth, and Holly Willoughby in the seventh. For the second series, Peter Crouch joined the panel alongside returning panellists Ross, McCall, and Mabuse; Gilligan could not return due to touring commitments but appeared as a guest on the sixth show. John Bishop returned as a guest on the seventh show and sat in for Ross during the final, while Dawn French also guested on the final.
