Lore & Background
Jesse, Mike and Gus travel to Mexico to teach the cartel to cook meth. The cartel's chemist doubts Jesse because he lacks scientific training, but a batch of 96 percent purity impresses them; Jesse is then horrified to hear that he now belongs to the cartel, though Mike assures him he will go home. After his fight with Jesse, Walt misses Walter Jr.'s birthday; his son finds him bloodied, Walt blames gambling and, half asleep, calls him Jesse. The next morning Walt apologises, but Walter Jr. says he would rather remember his father that way than as he has behaved over the past year.
