Raymond Jean Bourque (born December 28, 1960) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player. He holds records for most career goals, assists, and points by a defenceman in the NHL. He won the James Norris Memorial Trophy five times, finished second for that trophy six times, and twice finished second in Hart Memorial Trophy voting. He was named to end-of-season All-Star teams 19 times, with a record 13 first-team and six second-team selections.

Lore & Background
Bourque played 21 seasons for the Boston Bruins, becoming their longest-serving captain. He finished his career with the Colorado Avalanche, winning his only Stanley Cup in his final NHL game. His #77 was retired by both the Bruins and the Avalanche. He played for Canada in three Canada Cups and the 1998 Winter Olympics.
