Singha is a pale lager from Thailand, produced by the Singha Corporation Co. Ltd., which is part of the larger Boon Rawd Brewery. The beer first appeared in 1933 and received a notable honor in 1939 when King Rama VII permitted the royal Garuda symbol to be displayed on its bottles. It is sold in more than 50 countries, offered in a standard version at 5% ABV and a light version at 3.8% ABV. The brew is made with 100% barley malt, three varieties of European hops, and 100% artesian water, resulting in a golden yellow color, a full body, and a rich flavor.
