Jesus Piece formed in 2015 with vocalist Aaron Heard, guitarists David Updike and John DiStefano, bassist Anthony Marinaro, and drummer Luis Aponte. They self-released a demo/EP in 2015 and an EP in summer 2016, followed by a split EP with Malice at the Palace on Bridge Nine Records in 2017. In 2018, they signed to Southern Lord Records and released their debut full-length *Only Self* on August 24 of that year. They toured with acts such as Code Orange, Knocked Loose, and Ghostemane. In March 2020, they were set to support Code Orange's headlining tour with Show Me the Body, Year of the Knife, and Machine Girl, but the tour was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2022, they joined Show Me the Body for a 36-date North American tour. On December 5, 2022, they released the single 'An Offering to the Night,' and on January 20, 2023, announced their sophomore LP *...So Unknown*, released April 14, 2023 via Century Media Records. The band continues to perform and has not announced any lineup changes or disbandment.
