Fury of Five formed in 1994. Their early creative output was limited to tracks on compilations, and they released two 7" singles—'Convicted and Condemned' in 1994 and 'Telling It Like It Is!' in 1995—as well as a full-length album titled No Reason to Smile in 1997. The band toured extensively throughout the Northeastern United States with bands such as Madball and Earth Crisis, and completed two European tours with Integrity and Pro-Pain.

Two releases on Victory Records followed: At War with the World in 1998 and This Time It's Personal in 2000. The band also released a later album Half Past Revenge in 2023. Their discography includes the demo The High Cost of Dying from 1995, and compilations Jersey Style (2007) and Fast Break! Records Sampler (2014). Music videos were produced for the songs 'Do or Die' and 'Taking Respect,' both from At War with the World.
