E.Town Concrete formed in 1995 and released their first full-length album, Time 2 Shine, in 1999 on Resurrection A.D. Their second album, The Second Coming (2000), had a similar sound but pulled back on the intensity of the debut. In 2003, the band released their most popular album, The Renaissance, which included tracks such as 'Mandibles' and 'Baptism'. Around this time, songs 'Punch The Wall' and 'Mandibles' received airplay on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. The band played the Hellfest festival in their hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey, in 2004.
