The Eyes of the World are a pair of treasures in the Bayonetta games: the Left Eye of Darkness and the Right Eye of Light. The Umbra Witches and the Lumen Sages each kept one and used them to oversee the just passage of time.
Lore & Background
Bayonetta wears an ornate jewel with a small red gem that she believes is the Left Eye, and she travels to Vigrid after the informant Enzo hears that the Right Eye is there. She learns that both Eyes were made by Aesir, who gave them to the two clans to give humanity free will. In Bayonetta 2 the Right Eye of Light has vanished after Father Balder's death, and Loptr claims the Eyes belong to him.
