In Legacy of the First Blade, the Hidden Blade is directly tied to the character Darius, a Persian rebel who is revealed to be the father of Neema or Natakas, depending on the player's choice of protagonist. Darius, whose real name is Artabanus, was once part of a group of freedom fighters who assassinated King Xerxes I of Persia. He later attempted to kill Xerxes' successor, Artaxerxes I, but was thwarted by his former ally Amorges. Darius fled Persia with his child, and the Order of the Ancients pursued them across the Greek world.

By the end of the DLC, Darius takes the Eagle Bearer's son, Elpidios, to Egypt, where it is revealed that Elpidios would become the ancestor of Aya of Alexandria, the wife of Bayek of Siwa and co-founder of the Hidden Ones, a precursor organization to the Assassin Brotherhood. This establishes a direct lineage connecting the Hidden Blade's use in Odyssey to the founding of the Hidden Ones in Assassin's Creed Origins.
