Hextech is the technology created by the Piltover scientist Jayce Talis in Arcane, with the help of his research partner Viktor. Arcane's premise turns on the conflict between Piltover and Zaun over clashing convictions and arcane technologies.

Background
Mel Medarda takes an interest in Jayce and Viktor's experiments, and her mother, the Noxian general Ambessa, wants Hextech weapons to use against the Black Rose. Jinx steals a Hextech gemstone from Jayce for Silco and later uses it to power a rocket launcher that she fires at the Piltover council.
