Lore & Background

Vander's history is defined by his deep bond with Silco and the tragedy that separated them. As brothers-in-arms during a major uprising against Piltover, they fought side-by-side until their paths diverged over the survival of two children: Vi and Powder. The rebellion led to the death of the sisters' parents, an event that compelled Vander to abandon his life as a revolutionary leader. Instead of continuing the fight for political gain, he chose to protect the orphans, raising them within the underbelly of Zaun.

He operated The Last Drop bar, providing a safe haven away from the violence of the Chem-Barons and the Enforcers. His relationship with Vi and Powder is rooted in this protective duty. This dynamic creates tension when Silco returns as a crime lord leading the Chem-Barons. Vander finds himself caught between his past loyalty to Silco and his present responsibility to his daughters.

Reader's Guide

His role transitions from a former rebel leader to a bar owner focused on family safety. However, his story concludes with a tragic transformation in season 2. Under the care of Singed, who seeks immortality through experimentation, Vander loses his humanity to become Warwick.
