Background
At the start of the first season Powder and Vi steal arcane crystals from Jayce Talis, and Powder accidentally causes an explosion that brings Piltover's enforcers after them. When Vander gives himself up and is taken by Silco, Powder tries to help rescue him and sets off the stolen crystals, killing Vander, Mylo and Claggor. In her grief Vi calls her a "jinx" and leaves, and Powder turns to Silco, who raises her.
