Plot
The season takes place fifteen years after the first season and features new contestants on a new island modeled after Camp Wawanakwa in Muskoka, Ontario. Characters
The 2023 season brings in a completely fresh lineup of 16 contestants, including Axel, Bowie, Caleb, Chase, and others. Cameos feature the Tennis Rivals from The Ridonculous Race, the Rockers in a film, and photos of Courtney, Duncan, and Izzy.
Production
Announced in February 2021 for Cartoon Network and Max, the BBC joined as co-commissioner in June 2022. Terry McGurrin clarified the new seasons are produced as a new series, not as seasons six and seven. The island is separate from the original Wawanakwa, which sank, and features different landmarks. Christian Potenza initially recorded lines as Chris McLean but was replaced by Terry McGurrin as a creative decision.
