Tumble Leaf
A stop-motion preschool series exploring science through play.
Tumble Leaf is an American stop-motion animated children's television series that premiered in 2014 on Amazon Prime Video. Based on the short film Miro, it was created by animator Drew Hodges and produced by Bix Pix Entertainment. The series follows an anthropomorphic blue fox named Fig and his caterpillar friend Stick as they help preschoolers learn basic science lessons through playful examples.

Production
Amazon Video ordered "Tumble Leaf" as part of its first batch of pilots in 2013, then greenlit a full 13-episode first season that May. The first six episodes dropped exclusively on the service on May 23, 2014, with the remaining seven following on September 5. A German-dubbed version arrived for Amazon's German Prime members on August 20, 2014. Season two launched on December 10, 2015. Season three began with an Easter special on April 4, 2017, and the rest of the season came out on August 14. Season four premiered on July 23, 2018, with a Halloween special on October 19 and the final episodes on February 25, 2019. The series wrapped after four seasons and earned a Peabody Award nomination.
