Danger Rangers is an American animated television series that aired in syndication from 1999 to 2006, later appearing on networks like Qubo, totaling 16 episodes. The show centers on a team of anthropomorphic animal heroes who safeguard children and impart safety lessons by example, covering topics like environmental hazards and unsafe places. They operate from a base hidden inside Mount Rushmore.
Most episodes follow one of two plots: children get into danger due to their own mistakes, prompting the Rangers to rescue them and teach better choices, or misguided antagonists deliberately put children at risk, requiring the Rangers to stop them. The exception is "Wet and Wild!," which uses neither structure. Each episode includes one or two music videos written by Randy Rogel (of *Animaniacs* fame), themed to the safety topic. A recap segment at the end reviews the lessons learned.
The main characters are: Sully (voiced by Jerry Houser), a blue sea lion and the leader, who is mildly vain but competent; Kitty (Grey DeLisle), a pink cat and second-in-command, who is intelligent, cool, and fair; Burble (Kevin Michael Richardson), a large walrus and recreational safety expert, a gentle giant who values fair play; Squeeky (Rob Paulsen), a navy blue mouse who is snarky and small but valuable for handling tight spots; Burt (Mark Hamill), a green turtle and the team's inventor and personal safety expert; Gabriella "GB" (Tasia Valenza), a red hummingbird who serves as operations chief and mission control; Fallbot (John Kassir), a clumsy, accident-prone blue-and-yellow robot invented by Burt; SAVO (voiced by Jonathan Harris in "Mission 547: Safety Rules" and Charlie Adler elsewhere), the base's dramatic supercomputer whose full name is not officially established in the series canon; and the Junior Danger Rangers, children who assist the team.

Danger Rangers was created for the cause of children's safety and was the first show to successfully put Disney-quality productions into a quality curriculum. It was the most successfully distributed independent show on PBS affiliates. The series originally aired on PBS Kids under the American Public Television brand from 2005 to 2006. Reruns were distributed by Cookie Jar Entertainment and aired on CBS as part of Cookie Jar TV from September 2011 to September 2012, though they were edited for commercial television, including cutting the epilogues, resulting in showing 14 out of the 16 episodes. The show's production began with a low-fidelity prototype developed by ProMedia of Knoxville, TN, with Chris West instrumental in developing it. After raising capital, the pilot episode 'Mission 547: Safety Rules' was produced in Los Angeles with contributions from Jerry Houser, Larry Huber, Ginny McSwain, Howard Kazanjian, and Ilie Agopian. The first episode was completed in 2003.
