Cubix

Cubix is an animated television series produced by the South Korean company Cinepix. The story takes place in 2044 and centers on Connor, a boy with a strong interest in robots, who lives with his father, Graham, in Bubble Town—a city filled with robots and home to the robotics firm RobixCorp. In North America, the series was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment and aired on Kids' WB! for a single season of 26 episodes, split into two production runs, from August 11, 2001, to May 10, 2003.
The show’s production budget was ₩6 billion. In May 2001, 4Kids partnered with a major fast-food chain for a five-week promotional campaign, which included a line of toys in Burger King kids' meals. Toy companies Trendmasters and Jakks Pacific also held licenses to produce Cubix toys for retail.
In the year 2044, Connor moves to Bubble Town with his father, Graham, a scientist who works with robots and supports Connor's interest. The city is the headquarters of RobixCorp, whose success stems from the EPU (Emotion Processing Unit), a device that gives robots unique personalities. Unlike everyone else in Bubble Town, Connor does not own a robot. Soon after arriving, his neighbor Abby sends her flying robot, Dondon, to spy on him. Graham tries to catch Dondon, but the robot crashes into Connor, knocking him out. Abby and Connor then rush to a repair shop called The Botties' Pit, run by Hela. To become an employee, Connor must fix a robot within 24 hours. He chooses Cubix, a one-of-a-kind test model known as the "Unfixable Robot," which Hela and the Botties had failed to repair. Cubix is the last remaining creation of Hela’s father, Professor Nemo, who invented the EPU and vanished after an experiment with a volatile substance called Solex.
When a rogue inventor named Dr. K steals a robot, the Botties' Pit is nearly destroyed. Connor rushes back inside to save Cubix, and this act of kindness activates Cubix’s EPU, bringing him to life. Cubix rescues Connor from the collapsing building, proving that the robot’s repair required heart, not hardware. Cubix can also transform into almost any shape. Together, Connor and Cubix, along with their friends, work to stop Dr. K and recover the stolen robot, while also investigating Dr. K’s conspiracy and the mystery of Professor Nemo’s disappearance.
