Plot
After foiling Steam Smythe's plan to destroy the telephone industry, Ben Tennyson feels his adventures have become repetitive and unchallenging. He, his cousin Gwen, and grandfather Max receive an urgent call from their friend Phil, who warns that a meteor is heading toward Earth. Phil also reveals that the key Ben used to unlock his Omni-Kix Armor is reversed; turning it properly unlocks the Omni-Naut Armor, allowing Ben and his aliens to fly in space. Ben flies into space to stop the meteor but enters a portal to another galaxy while the meteor crashes on Earth. The meteor is revealed to be Vilgax, Ben's arch-nemesis, who has escaped the Null Void. Stranded in space, Ben is abducted by the Incurseans, who mistake him for Vilgax, and is banished to the Null Void. There, alien criminals try to take his Omnitrix but are stopped by Azmuth, the Omnitrix's creator, who takes it from Ben. Azmuth refuses to return it until Ben agrees to rescue his planet without the Omnitrix; Ben accepts a trial. On Earth, the Tennysons and Phil find Ben's rival Kevin Levin, whose Antitrix is malfunctioning. They convince him to protect Earth in exchange for repairing the Antitrix. Vilgax arrives, defeats Kevin, and takes the Antitrix, becoming Anti-Vilgax—a hybrid of all Kevin's 11 aliens—and begins xenoforming Earth.
