Alien Arsenal
Two nerds find alien weapons and face their owners.
Alien Arsenal is a 1999 TV movie directed by David DeCoteau, who used the name Julian Breen. It loosely remakes Charles Band's earlier film Laserblast and is also called Teenage Alien Avengers. The plot centers on high school nerds Ralph and Baxter, played by Josh Hammond and Danielle Hoover, who are bullied at school. After discovering a hidden room full of advanced weapons and armor, they start living out superhero fantasies by getting revenge on their tormentors. However, the alien owners of the gear detect its use and return to retrieve it, planning to destroy humanity. They recruit a bully named Monty, played by Jerrod Cornish, to help recover the equipment. Ralph and Monty later realize the aliens are using both of them to activate an Armageddon Beam that would end all life on Earth.
