Rangers in Babylon 5

Rangers, called Anla-shok in the Minbari language, are warriors in the Babylon 5 franchise. The order was formed by Valen during the First Shadow War after the three castes refused to cooperate. After that war, the Rangers became dormant. Jeffrey Sinclair later took leadership as Entil'Zha, or "The One Who Creates the Future." When the Shadows acted openly, the Rangers became central to the opposing alliance. Sinclair, Delenn, and John Sheridan each held leadership roles. Marcus Cole was the only Ranger in the series main cast. Rangers recruited from Humans and Minbari, used collapsible Minbari fighting pikes, and often crewed White Star vessels.

Plot synopsis

After the Shadow War, the Interstellar Alliance and the Rangers work to rebuild and maintain peace. The two ships are attacked by an ancient force called The Hand, whose power exceeds any known to the Interstellar Alliance.
