History
The band formed when friends Dean Andrews and Kenny Harrelson met Jason "Gong" Jones, former front man of Drowning Pool. Jones wanted to create his own music rather than follow others, and Andrews and Harrelson shared that vision. With the addition of Drew Burke and the return of Rob DeHaven, the lineup was completed. In early 2007, the band signed with Corporate Punishment Records and began work on its first release with producer Rae DiLeo. Shortly after signing, they parted ways with that label and released a four-song EP titled Out of the Shallow End. Two tracks from the EP, "Absence" and "Far", received regular rotation on XM Radio's SquiZZ, Europe's Kerrang!, and various US FM stations. "Right on Time" and "Welt" appeared on the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 soundtrack. The band's self-titled debut album was recorded at Belle City Sound studio in Racine, Wisconsin with producer Chris Djuricic and released on January 12, 2010 via Burnhill Union Records. The first single "Pictures" was mixed by Randy Staub. The band later parted ways with Burnhill Union Records and is in pre-production for a second album.
Name origin
After doing only black and gray tattoos for three or four years, he began driving to Anaheim to break the monotony. Tired of his CDs and the radio, he switched to the AM band and came across Art Bell discussing conspiracy theories about aliens and other topics. He became absorbed in the content, and the name AM Conspiracy formed from that experience.
