G-Unit Films and Television Inc.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson launched G-Unit Films in 2003, an American production company that initially focused on documentaries about his own life and the lives of people close to him. In 2008, Jackson set up a new venture called Cheetah Vision alongside Randall Emmett, which led to the temporary shutdown of G-Unit Films. The company was revived two years later, in 2010, under the name G-Unit Films and Television Inc. In 2015, Jackson pitched television ideas to six networks. One of those pitches became *Power*, a Starz drama where he worked as co-star, co-creator, and executive producer. He signed a two-year contract with Starz, represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts, and the show's ratings proved successful for the network by the following year. After becoming unhappy with Starz, Jackson made a non-exclusive broadcast direct deal with Fox to develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series through G-Unit Film & Television. In 2023, the company acquired an in-house production facility—formerly known as Millennium Studios—through a lease agreement with the city of Shreveport, Louisiana.
