In DC Comics, Belle Reve is a maximum-security prison for metahumans in the Louisiana town of St. Roch, which doubles as the Suicide Squad's base.

In Young Justice, Amanda Waller is the warden of Belle Reve until Hugo Strange, the prison psychiatrist and an operative of the Light, replaces her; she then forms the Suicide Squad from its prisoners. John Economos is also named as its warden.
