Yellowstone National Park
The first US national park, and one of the Dutton ranch's neighbours in the series.
Yellowstone National Park is a United States national park lying mainly in the north-west corner of Wyoming, with small portions in Montana and Idaho. In the series it is one of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch's neighbours, alongside the Broken Rock Indian Reservation and the land developers, and the borders between them drive much of the conflict.

Lore & Background
The park was established by the 42nd Congress through the Yellowstone National Park Protection Act, signed by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872, which made it the first national park in the US. It spans about 3,468 square miles of lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges and is known for its wildlife and geothermal features, above all the Old Faithful geyser. Native Americans have lived in the region for at least 11,000 years.
