The New War
December 2021 cinematic expansion in which Ballas and the Sentients conquer the Origin System.
The New War expansion was released on December 15, 2021, and its quest follows The Sacrifice and Prelude to The New War. Ballas and Hunhow's son Erra wage war on the whole Origin System, forcing former enemies into an alliance, but the Sentients break it and a new empire, Narmer, is born.
Lore & Background
Ordis, with a new ally called the Drifter, must find the Operator and end Ballas for good. The quest raises questions about the philosophy of time and explains why the Operator owes the Man in the Wall. Playing it requires a Railjack, a Necramech and the completion of earlier quests.
