Reader's Guide

Alfor was a wise and benevolent ruler who governed the planet Arus with justice and foresight. Recognizing the growing threat of the Galra Empire under Zarkon, he dedicated his life to developing a weapon capable of turning the tide of war. He conceived the idea of combining five robotic lions into a single super-robot, recruiting loyal pilots to defend their world. During the height of the conflict, Alfor served as the pilot of the Blue Lion, leading the original Voltron force with strategic brilliance and bravery.

However, Zarkon's forces eventually overwhelmed Arus in a devastating surprise attack. In the final moments of his life, Alfor made the ultimate sacrifice to save his daughter Allura from capture. His death was not in vain; he successfully transmitted the coordinates of the scattered lions across the galaxy, setting the stage for future paladins to find them. Though physically gone, Alfor's spirit and teachings continue to influence Allura, serving as a moral compass and a reminder of the cost of peace.
