The Yellow Tape

A strip of yellow that holds down what needs to stay hidden—or peels loose what refuses to be forgotten.

Yellow tape is the mark of the Banditos, the rebels of Twenty One Pilots' Trench storyline. The Banditos adopt the color yellow, which the bishops of Dema are unable to see and perceive as grey. In the "Jumpsuit" music video the people who watch Tyler Joseph from the clifftops wear yellow-taped outfits, and in the video for "The Hype" Joseph uses yellow tape to secure a painting to a wall.
