Gameplay
The player controls the fighter craft Wing Galibur II, shooting down airborne and ground-based enemies. Powerups and ship parts are obtained by shooting down flying capsules; destroying all capsules awards a piece that attaches to the ship. Four different pieces provide extra firepower, wider shots, and act as shields granting extra hits. Collecting all pieces and pressing the transform button briefly turns the Wing Galibur into an invulnerable flaming phoenix. Pressing the transform button without all pieces separates them into a triangular formation around the ship; the pieces are invulnerable while the main ship is not. If hit while separated, the ship reverts to a singular craft. New features include a formation edit feature from the Nintendo Entertainment System release of Terra Cresta and a Caravan Mode seen in some Hudson Soft shooters.
