Reception
King of Casino received generally favourable reception from critics, most of whom reviewed it as an import title. Philippe Querleux of Génération 4 wrote that he loved the game and intended to purchase it. Jean-Marc Demoly of Joystick called it a well-made game, praising its original production and audiovisual presentation. Alain Huyghues-Lacour of Tilts agreed with Demoly on the presentation and noted the attention to detail, visuals, and sound effects. Sandra Alter of Aktueller Software Markt concurred but remarked that the game could not offer the high society atmosphere of real casinos. Henrik Fisch of Power Play commended the graphics but criticised the music. Clayton Walnum of VideoGames & Computer Entertainment gave positive remarks on the visuals of each game but felt mixed about the overall visuals and playability, stating that while the game is acceptable for TurboGrafx-16 owners wanting a gambling simulation, it does not meet the quality they have come to expect.
