WildTurtle used to play Defense of the Ancients, but transitioned to League of Legends to play with his friends. He returned to the game at the end of 9th grade after a one-year hiatus. During Season 1, he played for Forty Bus Gaming and Kill Steal Gaming. He played for Monomaniac eSports prior to IPL Season 4. In 2012, he was a substitute for Team Legion at the IPL Face Off: San Francisco Showdown and played against Team WE. Later, he played for Counter Logic Gaming Black at the MLG Summer Championship, replacing Austin 'LiNk' Shin as their mid-laner. On October 20, Orbit Gaming announced they were replacing their ADC Nientohsoh with WildTurtle. The team left the organization on November 1, renamed to Reddit Nation, and attended Lone Star Clash 2. Quantic Gaming acquired the team but disbanded on December 4. The team renamed to NomNom and finished in the top three at the Season 3 NA MLG Online Qualifiers. NomNom renamed to Cloud9 on January 8, 2013, but did not pass the LCS offline qualifier. In March 2013, WildTurtle became the starting ADC for Team SoloMid after Chaox was benched and removed. TSM took first place in the NA LCS Spring Split and lost 0–3 to Cloud9 in the Summer Split finals. In 2014, TSM defeated Cloud9 3–2 in the Summer Split finals, then lost 1–3 to Samsung White in the World Championship quarterfinals. In December, TSM lost 0–2 to Unicorns of Love in IEM IX San Jose. In 2015, TSM won IEM IX World Championship, NA LCS Spring Split playoffs, but were eliminated from MSI in the group stage, lost the Summer Split finals to CLG, and were eliminated from Worlds in the group stage. On December 7, Immortals announced they had acquired WildTurtle. In 2016, Immortals finished first in Spring regular season with a 17–1 record, lost to TSM in Spring playoffs semifinals, beat Team Liquid for third place, finished second in Summer regular season, lost to Cloud9 in semifinals, beat CLG for third place, and failed to qualify for Worlds after losing to Cloud9 1–3. In early November, WildTurtle negotiated with Team Dignitas and played as a substitute for TSM at IEM XI Oakland, then signed with TSM on December 7, replacing Doublelift. In 2017, WildTurtle helped TSM win the LCS NA Spring Split and attend MSI, where they finished 4–6 and lost a tiebreak to Flash Wolves.
