Lore & Background
KuroKy began his professional career at age 16 in Defense of the Ancients, initially as a carry player. He moved between teams including mousesports, Kingsurf, Nirvana.int, MYM and Ks.int. In mousesports he met Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov. With the introduction of Dota 2, his team struggled, and Puppey's signing by Natus Vincere almost prompted KuroKy to quit. After moving between Virtus.pro, Uebelst gamynG and mousesports, his breakthrough came in 2013 when he joined Natus Vincere as a support player, finishing as runners-up in The International 2013. He left Natus Vincere after a lackluster 2014 campaign and formed Team Secret with Puppey, Fly, N0tail and s4. After a roster shuffle they won 4 consecutive LAN finals but disappointed at The International 2015. Following that, KuroKy left Team Secret to form 5Jungz with FATA-, MATUMBAMAN, JerAx and MinD_ContRoL. 5Jungz was signed by Team Liquid, achieving 2nd at The Shanghai Major 2016, The Manila Major 2016 and 1st at EPICENTER 2016. With additions of Miracle- and GH, Team Liquid won several LANs culminating in winning The International 2017. In 2018, Liquid won one Valve Major and placed 4th at The International 2018. After replacing MATUMBAMAN with w33, they placed 2nd at the Epicenter Major and made a lower bracket run to the finals of The International 2019, losing to OG 3–1. After four years with Team Liquid, KuroKy and the rest of the roster left to form Nigma.
