Lore & Background

The guitars use a modified drop-B tuning. Its theme is the Heideggerian idea of life felt as eternal in the moment by a consciousness living in a mortal body. Its video runs over ten minutes because it also includes "Parabol", the track that precedes the song on the album. "Parabola" was played as a wake-up call for astronaut Robert Behnken on the Space Shuttle mission STS-130 and appears in Guitar Hero World Tour.
