Pentangeli

Frankie Five Angels, the caporegime who nearly testified against Michael.

Frank Pentangeli is a character from The Godfather Part II (1974), played by Michael V. Gazzo, who was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and lost to his co-star Robert De Niro. His nickname, "Frankie Five Angels", plays on his surname. Born in Partinico, Sicily, he was a top soldier in Peter Clemenza's regime for three decades and succeeded him as caporegime. He turns against the Corleones and prepares to testify against Michael, but loses his nerve when his brother Vincenzo appears in the courtroom; Tom Hagen later suggests that he take his own life, which he does.
